- A Spanish state lottery founded in 1985. It works like the bonoloto players mark six numbers on a ticket containing 49 numbers and win the main prize if all their numbers come up in the draw. There are "ordinary" draws on Thursdays and Saturdays, and a draw for a larger prize on the last Sunday of each month, known as El Gordo, or El Gordo de la Primitiva.

Other lotteries are the bonoloto Lotería Primitiva, and the ONCE - Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles.

- Maundy Thursday es el nombre que recibe el Jueves Santo dentro de la Holy Week (Semana Santa). Ese día el monarca reparte a unas cuantas personas pobres previamente escogidas el Maundy money. El número de personas a las que se dispensa esta limosna está en relación con la edad del monarca. Cada una de estas personas recibe además un set de monedas de plata acuñadas especialmente para la ocasión.
