- Easter (En Semana Santa) es costumbre en Gran Bretaña consumir dos tipos de dulce: los hot cross buns, por un lado, panecillos especiados que tienen una cruz en la parte de arriba hecha con la misma masa, y el simnel cake, por otro lado, un denso pastel de pasas, que se decora con mazapán. Durante estos días es costumbre que los niños jueguen a arrojar huevos cocidos cuesta abajo para ver cuál es el huevo que llega más lejos. Hoy en día con el término de Easter egg (huevo de Pascua) se denomina al huevo de chocolate relleno de dulces y golosinas que se suele regalar durante estos días.
