- The Palazzo di Montecitorio, in the square of the same name in the centre of Rome, was built between 1650 and 1697 as the seat of the papal courts. Extended and renovated, it has been the home of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament since 1871. In the media, the term Montecitorio is used to mean the Chamber of Deputies itself.
