- This is an international show for the visual arts, cinema, architecture, dance, music, and theatre. The visual arts section, which is held in the Gardens, still takes place every two years and often welcomes avant-garde artists. The first Biennial International Art Exhibition was held in 1895. The section devoted to cinema takes place annually. The other sections take place at irregular intervals.
