Die Habilitationskommission beschließt in einer heimlichen Abstimmung, ob die Ernennung zum Dozenten dem wissenschaftlichen Rat der Fakultät empfohlen oder nicht empfohlen wird.
Wenn der Vorschlag nicht wenigstens drei Stimmen erhält, dann gilt es, dass die Habilitationskommission dem wissenschaftlichen Rat empfählt, das Habilitationsverfahren abzubrechen.

Nachdem die Habilitationskommission ihre Arbeit abgeschlossen hat, wird der Kandidatin bzw. dem Kandidaten der Termin und das Thema des öffentlichen Vortrags gemäß § 11 der Habilitationsordnung mitgeteilt.
