Both companies had already been operating successfully in the cosmetics industry for decades.
While Gschwentner Haarkosmetik began to produce professional hair care and tinting products from the 1930s, Weinzierl has been specialising in the development and production of private label products in the field of face, body and sun care since 1954.
With the merger, both companies were united under the umbrella GW Cosmetics (whereby the G from Gschwentner and the W from Weinzierl was adopted), where they combined years of experience and expertise in the development and production of cosmetics products, and are thus strong and benefit from numerous synergies.
