www.museenational.chIt is regarded as one of the most important examples of “ Jugendstil ” ( art nouveau ) and joins the two parts of the “ Ankerhof ” building between Hohe Markt 10-11 and 12 with a span of over 10 metres.
A very popular painter and sculptor of the time, Franz von Matsch, was commissioned with its design.
One special feature is that the 60 minutes are spread over a horizontal path, rather than a circle.

Den Gestaltungsauftrag erhielt der damals populäre Maler und Bildhauer Franz von Matsch.
Eine Besonderheit ist, dass die 60 Minuten nicht über einen Kreis, sondern über eine horizontale Wegstrecke verteilt sind.
