Das vorliegende Projekt soll die weitere molekulare und mechanistische Charakterisierung von Kaliumkanälen vorantreiben und fokussiert auf die im Endothel neu identifizierten K2P-Kanäle als Teil eines endothelialen vasodilatatorischen Systems.
Ein erstes Ziel des Projektes ist, K2P-Kanäle in der Gefäßwand zu identifizieren, funktionell zu charakterisieren und deren physiologische Funktionen für die Tonusregulation zu verstehen.
