In the South-West of France, DMT is currently performing a 3D seismic survey on behalf of the Canadian oil and gas producer Vermilion Energy Inc.

www.tuv-nord.comZiel der Untersuchung ist die Region Vic-Bilh, Départment Pyrénées-Atlantique, eine von Weinanbau und intensiver landwirtschaftlicher Nutzung geprägte Landschaft nördlich der Stadt Pau.
Hier möchte die seit 1997 auch in Frankreich aktive Vermilion Energy Inc. ihre konventionelle Ölproduktion der bestehenden Erdöllagerstätte Vic Bilh optimieren.
Aufgrund eines komplizierten Aufbaus der Gesteinsschichten konnten vorangehende Projekte in den Jahren 1977 und 1984 keine oder nur unzureichende Aussagen über Struktur und Formation des Untergrunds – und damit über die Ergiebigkeit des Ölvorkommens – treffen.

Vermilion Energy Inc., who has been active in France since 1997, is now looking to optimise conventional oil production from the existing Vic Bilh oil field.
Due to the complicated nature of the rock strata, previous projects carried out in 1977 and 1984 failed to deliver sufficient information about the structure and formation of the subsoil and subsequently the potential oil yield.
