Zunächst wird eine Sprachverbindung mit der Europäischen Notrufnummer 112 aufgebaut und an die Notrufzentrale ( Notrufabfragestelle , Public Safety Answering Point PSAP ) weitergeleitet ;
gleichzeitig wird mit dem Sprachanruf eine Notmeldung mit den wichtigsten Angaben über den Unfall wie Zeit, Ort, Fahrtrichtung (der Mindestdatensatz – MSD) abgesetzt.
