Märchenhafter Tonfall
Der 1978 im bosnischen Višegrad geborene Stanišić war 14 Jahre alt, als er mit seinen Eltern, einer Bosniakin und einem Serben, auf der Flucht vor dem Bürgerkrieg nach Heidelberg kam, wo bereits ein Onkel lebte.
Stanišić besuchte eine internationale Schule und hatte das Glück, auf einen Deutschlehrer zu treffen, der sein künstlerisches Talent erkannte und förderte.

Stanišić, born in 1978 in the Bosnian town of Višegrad, was fourteen years old when his parents, his mother a Bosniak and his father a Serb, fled the civil war for Heidelberg, where an uncle already lived.
Stanišić attended an international school and had the luck of meeting a German teacher who recognized and fostered his artistic talent.
