Im Rahmen der Reform der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik ( „ Health Check “ ) kommt es zum Auslaufen der bisherigen Marktordnung für Kartoffelstärke mit dem Ende des Getreidewirtschaftsjahres 2011 | 12 ( Juli 2011 bis Juni 2012 ).
Somit entfallen ab diesem Zeitpunkt die Produktionsquote für Kartoffelstärke, die gekoppelten Beihilfen sowie der Mindestpreis.
Als Referenzzeitraum für die Entkoppelung der Direktbeihilfen an Landwirte und Industrie wurde für Österreich das Jahr 2010 festgelegt, wobei die Kontraktmengen des Stärkekartoffel-Anbauvertrages 2010 als Basis für die entkoppelten Beihilfen ab dem Jahr 2012 dienen.
